Pick the Tree that’s just right!

When developers choose trees, they often prefer small ones “so they don’t block the building”, but as they grow larger, that’s exactly what they do. Instead, when larger trees line the street, their lower limbs can be removed so the businesses are visible. In addition, larger trees capture more storm water, provide more shade, give off more oxygen, and remove more pollutants from the air. More diversity of species, instead of a monoculture,  is also very beneficial if an insect or disease comes along that removes a species from our palette.
